Thumdars version of the Bedican® Compass v3.4 xml file adding many new commands. In no way was the actual application modified - it simply adds many commands (shortcuts) to useful internal and external There.com resources. Included is the Myrmex GPS system that was bundled with the compass.

The GPSD V3.0 "GPS For Dummies" by BtSt is a great choice for your navigation needs. There is a There-based race track component that helps you navigate and even a GPSD Tutorial you can visit via the internal commands.

The Sereno Precision Compass. Needle type compass, with plenty of data available on main view (speed, longitude, latitude). Also has a GPS system similar to Myrmex's. Global view is neat- with a globe front and back that cover the entire planet. MUCH more useful than the 'world view'.

Thumdar Says: The compass uses a graphic file for the North, South, East, West indicators. When you head north everything looks great. When you travel south, the indicators are upside down. See picture.

Created by Jeffrey Potter, this is a simple compass that does the job and lets you know where you are and where you're going.

This compass replacement features a needle compass, as well as coordinates and heading. It has two different configurations (horizontal and vertical), as well as two levels of minimize.

BACKGROUND
I've been a member of There.com since February 2004. Early in those days I got to know Tablatronix and spent a little time with Bedicus.  Since Bedicus created the original Bedican Compass, there have been many people who have hacked his software, made slight changes to it and called it their own. In most instances, these variations have not followed the Bedican Solutions software license and therefore, have been unethical and illegal.

The ONLY person who has ever been granted legal authority to modify the Bedican Compass is Tablatronix (bboy).

NOTE: The Thumdar version of the Bedican Compass adds locations to the included xml file but nothing more. The actual software has not been altered.
