Thanks to instructions neatly packaged, I have almost managed to regenerate myself. Fortunately I had never deleted the files languishing on my computer and a rummage through the various files now has my avatar fully re-clothed.
I'm still experimenting hopefull, but I did however manage to find a rather useful freeware tool for finding out the RGB or pantone values of skin colours to enable me to match my avie skin to my outfit...
I does make me wonder, why when the feature existed to colour your avatar anyway you like, why this was not part of the There options(?) Guess we'll never know now ... it might not be easy being green, but it would have been fun to have had the option.

Hello my name on There.com was also FantasyMan.
I loved driving and diving falling and sliding over the vast landscapes of There.
Cellophane exists in Second Life as Aahya Core. Cellophane is damn well going to miss decorating a Charity Tree Lot this year. Maybe Aahya will decorate her Sales Offices... In any case:

While playing on free realms, found most keys to the chest in each area. Thanks to Sunny Music spending all her time looking for all the keys she collected enough to pass out. I'm still working on the second avi to collect all the keys myself. I'm close to getting them all :). Still on the first avi I have collected all the coins around the different areas, there are elite and rare coins to find. Now when going to the big areas like outside the towns there are for corner of the maps where you have no compass to figure where your at so you will have to figure it out on your own. What I did was just keep climbing on rocks and trying to get to certain areas. If you did the same who knows maybe you will be able to find those rare coins like I did, the first avi was rough to find those coins eventually on my second avi that I am using is not so hard because I know where those coins are located. If you read what they are saying and where those locations are you will find those coins. The battling of those kooky monsters are just as fun but this time they made it harder, you don't have as many knock outs to revive from as before. So take care when going into battle with your partners, make sure they have adequate strength as you otherwise you will see the message BATTLE FAIL TRY AGAIN. If your lucky enough you will beat them and get to spin that crazy wheel and get some crazy things you don't really need or want.
Well back to the old grind of playing free realms and hoping to find more keys to open up more chest. :)

A Therian's spirit may never die, it is the explorer's spirit that enjoys the journey and companionship. The destination exists solely for that one journey shared.

With There.com part of the history books, and the forlorn members going their separate ways; learning new avenues of moving, communicating, and eventually designing in their new VR home. I wanted to thank everyone for the great times, and even greater efforts put forth by this wonderful community.
Without those designers, we would not have seen the great leaps in quality, and quantity of items. The competition kept the prices low enough for us to enjoy, and kept the driving force at full momentum even to the end of days.
Due to the closing of There.com I gave some interviews about it in other worlds.
I wrote a blog about it on my site:

looks like the popular virtual world There.com has finally closed... i really wasnt expecting it and probably neither were the thousands of members that were playing There. for some this may be sad, happy, angering, i dont know but i personally liked there.com a lot and it is sad to see it go. i made a lot of great friends on there.com too (you guys know who you are!) thats all i have to say... R.I.P. There.com
The other day I logged into SecondLife and was making a concerted effort to try and have fun. I needed to update my avie look so I went shopping. Found a leather jacket and some shoes. Bought some glasses that look like the ones I wear in physical life.
Cool, my avie looks better. Okay, now what? Where do I go? Yeah sure, there's people on my buddy list from There and I could IM them and go hang out. I got a teleport request from a friend and accepted it, arrived in the middle of a very dark club on the dance floor. Everyone had clicked on a disco light ball that activated a dance script and thus took control of their avatar making them dance together.
I don't much care to have my avie controlled, especially by a group script. Not much into being a follower. Kinda do my own thing, so I walked off the dance floor and stood there looking at the people.

I have written a suggestion of a buisness model to Makena, i tried to explain to them how to create a Virtual world that runs at a much much lower ISP cost. Also a few suggestion about how to handly the income from participants.
I hope they will respond, Hopefully they will put in a little hint if they are planning on something in the future. Atleast they got our Accounts and stuff on a backup server somewhere "safe" as their FAQ says.

Just over a week ago I posted what was effectively (I suppose) a eulogy to my avatar - reposted below. Well I have made it to the other side of the Equinox and have had time to reflect upon my own words and the possibly self indulgent video post of my own/avatar's last moments within There.com, and come to a decision:
Memories are not necessarily a bad thing, and perhaps there will be a time of reincarnation sometime, somewhere, perhaps if not with Makena then perhaps another environment.
